eBay Sterling Silver Salt & Pepper Shaker Mid-Century Modern Marked Cohr Denmark Presented is a beautiful set of salt & pepper shaker caster hallmarked for silver by the Danish silver company Cohr. These beautiful piece have a great vase like shape with a black and white pin like delineation on top above the slotted holes. They have and easy fill access hole on the bottom. They are as well marked on the bottom as Cohr, Denmark Sterling. They have no monogram, a few dents or dings in the salt, and only some fine scratches from gentle use. The salt stopper does appear to have dried and fallen into the basin and therefore needs replacing before use. These are elegant and shapely pieces and an excellent example of the best of mid-century modern art work of one of the most talented silver smiths in the world and an excellent find for the collector of silver. I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions. Measure: 2 7/8” inches tall, 2 7/8” inches across top Weight: 3.6 ounces or 103 grams on my postal scale Marks: Cohr Sterling Denmark Condition: a few minor dents and dings in the salt, no monogram, the salt stopper does appear to have dried and fallen into the basin and therefore needs replacing before use, a few light scratches from use.
