Size: About 5 x 3.5 inches (gray / beige dog) and 4 x 3.5 inches (black / Brown dog) Medium & Support: Hand-built sculpture, glazed and fired ceramic clay, stoneware. Signed. Mounting: Unframed, not mounted. Style, notes, etc: In 2018, I lost all 3 of my dogs between January and July. Two from old age, and 1 from respiratory issues after the Thomas Fire. It was sad to loose them and I started sculpting little dogs for comfort. I hadn’t been without a dog for over 30 years, so it took some time to get used to. Dogs are wonderful life companions, they’re always happy and do silly things. In December of 2018 I took in two rescues from the Boston Buddies organization (bostonbuddies.org), from whom I’ve had several wonderful BTs over the years. Then in April of 2019 I got one more. Boston Terriers in particular are an easy going breed. But like all dogs they need companions, so it’s best to get them in pairs. the need each other as much as they need their human guardians.
