From New Era to Cowboy hats, this 100% wood, heavy duty hat stretcher will solve of these problems! One size fits all, 6 1/2 – 8 1/2. Instructions: Lay the hat stretcher on a flat surface and twist center handle to approximate hat size. Place in hat, labels up, center handle parallel to crease in hat crown. Tighten handle to snug fit – hat is ready for storage. *Always rest hat on its crown, brim up.* If size INCREASE is desired: Repeat the steps above, but when the stretcher is inserted into the hat, twist to lengthen the stretcher and stretch the hat. If this does not stretch the hat to your liking, use a teapot or pan with the lid slightly ajar, boil clean water, then reduce heat to produce a steady flow of steam. Holding the hat stretcher handle, direct steam evenly to outside of the band area. Twist handle to stretch hat to desired size while applying steam. Allow hat to cool and dry 20-30 minutes before removing the hat stretcher. Repeat if hat shrinks until hat maintains desired size & fit!
