It is intended for use in chemistry, in physical laboratories, and science disciplines. The bottle has an expiration date of 01/01/2030 and is manufactured in the United States. The unit quantity is one and the unit type is ounces. CS2 is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula CS2 and structure S=C=S. It is a colorless liquid that is used as a building block in organic synthesis. Pure CS2 has a pleasant odor, but commercial samples are usually yellowish and are typically contaminated with foul, sulfur-like smelling impurities. CS2 polymerizes upon photolysis or under high pressure. Uses; CS2 is a solvent for WP, sulfur, selenium, bromine, iodine, fats, resins, rubber, and asphalt. Chlorination of CS2 provides a route to Carbon Tet. The principal industrial uses of CS2, consuming 75% of the annual production, are the manufacture of viscose rayon and cellophane film. It is a valued intermediate in chemical synthesis of Carbon Tet. It is widely used in the synthesis of organosulfur compounds such as xanthates, which are used in froth flotation, a method for extracting metals from their ores. CS2 is also a precursor to dithiocarbamates, which are used as dr*gs (e.g. Metam sodium) and rubber chemistry. CS2 is also used as an insect!cide for the fumigation of grains, nursery stock, in fresh fruit conservation and as a soil disinfectant against insects and nematodes. Know what you are buying! That bag will then be bubble wrapped and placed in a box. That box will be labeled with the appropriate labels and stickers, then it will be bagged and that bag will be sealed shut to prevent any leaks with a double layer of containment on top of the bottle, making 3 layers of containment. That bagged box will then be bubble wrapped and placed in a bubble wrap padded blue envelope and sealed shut for shipping and it will be shipped via USPS Ground Mail with tracking. Keep an eye out for the blue envelope in your mailbox. You should receive the product within 3-5 days of shipping. USPS and eBay will update you with the tracking information and you can track it at the USPS website and get email and text notifications from the USPS website if you follow their directions on getting notifications set up.
